Teach Young Learners EFL in Spain (2)

Date posted:2017-03-09 | Writer: La Casita de Inglés | Email: [email protected]

La Casita de Inglés has vacancies for TEFL qualified teachers in Madrid and Murcia teaching children English in small interactive classes. Classes are Monday to Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. We are also hiring for next school year.

Since La Casita de Inglés began its first workshop in 2002, there was a place created where learning English and having fun, were inseparably joined. Children learn intuitively, without realizing it, while having fun playing in a quiet and friendly atmosphere. With the Casita de Inglés method, they acquire vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation in a natural way, in a comfortable and cheerful environment. The workshops are very small, so the attention given to each student is practically exclusive. Groups are kept small so that children have more chances to speak and participate.

REQUIREMENTS:

Native level English speaker with a clear accent

Relevant teaching experience or teaching qualifications such as TEFL /TESOL preferred

Reliable, organised and able to commit to teaching on a long-term basis

Good class management skills

Cheerful, kind, friendly, enthusiastic, patient, creative, love working with kids

Must be punctual and with sense of commitment and responsibility

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

You can create your own material for classes and this is good because it allows for a tailored supplement of materials for the students. Course books are also good because it provides a guideline for lessons and it is a more efficient way. However, its disadvantages should also be considered such as the fact that it lacks specificity because it is designed fo a wide variety of audiences. This unit covered lesson planning. It went over the basic functions of writing a lesson plan, what should be in a lesson plan, and gave a full template for a lesson plan. It also included various activities to help in the process of making lesson plans. I learned that having lesson plans may not be ideal but inexperienced teachers may have trouble keeping the lesson on track without one.
