I learnt many different exercises to have as resources in my classroom in the future. I also learnt that you have to gauge how long you rely on a certain resource because it can become overused and predictable to the students which could possibly cause complacency. As an inexperienced teacher, I feel comfortably right now with workbooks and visual aids but I understand now that those resources can't be the sole tools in my classroom.I noticed that being an English teacher is not a straightforward, easy job. I myself have to prepare the material, so that I can be a good example for the students. Having worked through this unit, I could reflect on the times when I was in the process of learning the different learning blocks and grammar of the English language. In order to be a great English teacher, I need to put myself in my students shoes, in order to better them.
