Teach English in Beautiful Jeju, Korea

YBM ECC, on beautiful Jeju Island, is looking for a TEFL qualified English teacher to teach Elementary and Middle school level students, starting late June and August. We are a nationally established academy with over 7 years of history teaching Kindergarten to Middle school level students. An ideal applicant should have strong inter-personal skills, be well-organized and have above average problem solving skills. Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not necessary. We will provide all necessary training needed to succeed at this job. Our school has 6 foreign teachers and 7 Korean teachers. Teaching hours are between 2:30pm and 8:30pm Monday through Friday.
Applicants should be aware of the requirements to receive an e-2 visa.

    2.1million won per month

    Severance pay equal to 1 month's salary on completion of a full 1 year teaching contract

Our July session starts June 28th, so we would be looking at having our teacher arrive June 20th for training and to give you time to familiarize yourself with the area. During this time, you will observe classes as well as receive class specific training from our assistant director.

This unit gave me a good overview of what I need to think about when setting up a classroom and establishing a rapport with the students. I made me consider what size class I may end up teaching and the different seating arrangements and teaching style I'll need to use depending on that number. It also made me consider the student discipline side to teaching and what the best approach to this may be.This unit did a great job explaining the different types of learners there can be and the similarities and differences within and of each group. The tips of do's and don'ts when planning and teaching the various groups is helpful to have when planning and having the right mindset for each lesson with a specific group. The needs analysis survey seems very valuable when starting to work with clients.
