Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit different methods and lesson plan ideas are covered. This is an important chapter because a teacher needs to have a variety of resources in order to create interesting and useful lessons. For example, engaging students at the beginning will grab their attention, and having fun activities throughout the lesson will hep maintain focus. Studying is also important in order to learn and practice the skills taught. In this unit we learnt about authentic and non-authentic materials. Authentic materials are magazines and newsletters and they are produces for a real purpose. Non-authentic materials are either by an educational company or individual teachers for the specific purpose. Lesson plan is a working document in the unit we learn about why we create a lesson plan, why we should plan a lesson plan and how do we use a lesson plan.
