Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Setting up your classrooms with the proper course books and lesson materials really also depends on which subject you are teaching as well. Of course there are always new developments and these items need to be added and changed as new discoveries happen. Overall the teacher I think needs to set up a personal identity for their own classroom to be more effective for themselves and their students.Unit 11 has explained the two basic receptive skills of reading and listening. The use of predictive, scanning, skimming, detail and deduction from content are skills that, as a geologist, I have used for many years. The unit has reinforced that a teacher of English needs to ensure that the students have these skills and not to assume the student has been using these skills in their own language.
