Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit gave an introduction to tenses in the English language and the resulting potential difficulties for learners. It focused on the four present tenses, detailing the use of each as well as their respective grammatical structures. I was also provided with typical errors made by students. In addition, the unit contained useful suggestions for activities to help students learn the different tenses. In Unit 5, I learned about the reasons for having a lesson plan and methods for making one, including being provided with blank lesson plans for future use. The good thing about learning about lesson planning is that it allows you to be more organized and evaluate yourself. It is also a great way to keep track of what the kids are doing and learning. Lesson plans should be flexible and not scripted.
