Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This chapter covers the development of a langauge course, including level testing, needs analysis for the students and syllabus design before teaching content, as well as assessment of students and evaluation of the course after the course is finished. It does take an experienced teacher to take every detail into consideration and design a course that can best meet the need of students and reconcile constraints of various factors. Thanks to the Unit I have learnt that ESA can be used in teaching vocabulary, grammatical structure and functions applying such methods as a boomerang, patchwork, and straight arrow. When deciding what vocabulary to use I need to consider appropriacy of the words to the students and the task as well as the frequency of the words used and teachability. The language functions consist of inviting, rejecting, suggesting, agreeing etc.
