Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

After teaching in South Korea for 6 years, and not having TEFL training, I'm glad to see that many of the skills I've developed and lesson planning I've been exposed to often followed these different methods: Boomerang, Straight Arrow, and Patchwork Lessons. Many of my lesson plans have follow some order of all three of those examples. So I've learned the proper terms for something I've been doing all along. It's very affirming.Unit 6 was focused on the past tense. It covered all of the major forms of the past tense in English, and provided useful information on the construction of the past tense as well as some examples of how it can be used. I was able to learn a lot about the way the past tense is defined in academic terms. I found this to be interesting; however I wonder how I can simplify some of the explanations used when teaching younger students.
