Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this section I learned once again how complicated inseparable and separable transitive verbs can be if one is trying to learn them by grammar rules only and not by sound. I have been more accustomed to writing newspaper and magazine articles in my career and in this type of writing we essentially never use phrasal verbs. At least they are discouraged from any type of use in newspapers. This unit was a refresher for all the basic parts of an English sentence. I think it helped me to look at how and why English sentences are formed using with better clarity and understanding the words used in the sentence. Every word is important and every word has a role, which I think is a very important building block for understanding more advanced and/or complicated grammar structures.
