Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This section closes off the basics of the grammar section of the ITTT course with modals, phrasal verbs and the passive voice. These are some of the more complex parts of English grammar and tends to only be covered with higher level students. The modals are the most important to have a good knowledge of as it is the most commonly used section here and is used in colloquial English the most. This unit explained the rules of conditionals and reported speech. I found this module quite difficult to absorb, especially the section on direct and reported speech. I learned from the conditionals section that it is based around actions and their consequences. The teaching ideas sections gave some good suggestions for explaining this difficult material, especially the one on conditionals.
