Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I prefer to use created materials as often as possible, because the textbooks provided by my schools are somewhat boring. Created and authentic materials make my students go crazy, because it's just so much more interesting to them. It's usually not something they see in their normal day-to-day lives, so whenever I bring out pictures, videos, or realia, the lesson immediately becomes more interesting to them. The unit covers the nuanced aspects of English grammar more commonly taught to intermediate and advanced learners. It focuses on the importance of modal verbs in English communication as well as phrasal verbs, the passive voice and relative clauses. The phrasal verbs are not covered in-depth or sufficiently exemplified however. I found the section to be somewhat confusing and needing more supporting material.
