SIDAS LANGUAGE SCHOOL is looking for talented and enthusiastic teachers to fill the following positions for the coming school year:
Set location teachers: teaching at various partner institutions, local companies and in various offices at a number of different locations throughout Slovakia. Each successful candidate would be placed teach in one, or two different towns throughout the school year. Teachers for these positions need to be able to teach young children, teens, young adults and adults of all levels, from individual students to groups of about 15 in some instances. For these positions we are preferably looking for candidates who can commit to joining our team for the entire school year.
ACTIVE ENGLISH WEEKS teachers: teaching at various partner institutions throughout the Czech and Slovak Republics. Each successful candidate would travel almost every weekend to a different town and meet a different group of students, from young children through to young adults. These positions are available for two month to one school year agreements, and candidates must be willing and able to deal with travelling from town to town and the variation of students.
Qualifications
In an ideal world every applicant would have amazing qualifications and perfect blemish free CVs, but we all know the world is far from ideal. We put a high value on honesty, the ability to work both as part of a team but also as an individual, people who are willing to learn and develop. We also need people who like to have fun personally and professionally, teaching should be fun, something to enjoy while you do it, not a chore and not a last choice in life. TEFL/TESOL preferred.
Salary and Benefits
The remuneration on offer is very good when compared to most positions in Slovakia, not just in the teaching world but in general. SIDAS LANGUAGE SCHOOL only directly discusses the remuneration on offer during face to face interviews with potential candidates. The hours are comfortable, the stress is limited and the opportunity to grow as a teacher and experience a beautiful part of the world is there too.
While our package will provide a very comfortable existence if you are looking to earn an early retirement through teaching TEFL then the Czech and Slovak Republics are probably the wrong place to look.
