Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I really liked this unit because it was helpful to see what a classroom setting could possibly be like. It is so important for a teacher to walk into a classroom with a good attitude and set the tone for the lesson. If a teacher looks unhappy and isn't listening to the needs of the students then it will be hard to have a successful class. If a teacher seems like they don't want to be there then why would a student?Actually this was quite a fun lesson - particularly the phonetic script section and working out the sounds that we use and how we use them. I can see that this could be incorporated into a lesson that could be really fun for learners. The other thing to note is that communication is clearly not just about the words on the page. The intonation and stress is so important to understand when learning a new language.
