Accommodation for TEFL Courses in Alexandria, Egypt
Accommodation for the TEFL International TEFL course in Alexandria consists of a clean and comfortable private room housed in a shared, two- or three-bedroom apartment, or in a nearby small hotel. All the apartments are situated in a small, privately run guest house in the Loran neighborhood of Alexandria. Every apartment has a fully furnished sitting room, a bathroom with hot water and a kitchen that is equipped with a refrigerator, cooking equipment, and a variety of cooking utensils. All apartments are furnished in a standard Egyptian way and are clean, comfortable and adequate for the duration of the TEFL course.
These apartments are well situated within easy reach of numerous restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues. There is a wide variety of restaurants close to the accommodation that offer a good mix of Egyptian and western cuisines. In addition, you may use the apartment kitchen to prepare and cook your own food. For those less adept in the kitchen, home delivery service is provided by many restaurants.
Bedding is provided with the room, but you will have to bring your own towels. All rooms are cleaned and have the linens changed once per week. In addition to this, cleaning materials are available should you wish to clean your room on a more regular basis. Laundry services are available at very affordable prices in close proximity to the apartments.
Tea, coffee and a variety of soft drinks and snacks can be bought at very cheap prices from the shops in the general area of the accommodation. Tap water is considered to be safe in Egypt, and Egyptians generally use it for both drinking and cooking. However, bottled water is relatively inexpensive and available pretty much everywhere. Each apartment is equipped with a refrigerator so that you are able to keep your food and drink cool.
The accommodation is generally available from the Friday before the TEFL course start date until the final Thursday (moderation day) – after which you’ll leave for the Red Sea excursion. If you arrive on Friday before the course, it will give you the opportunity to relax and get used to the local area before the start of the course.
