Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Unit 1 explains the most important characteristics of a good teacher and the teaching roles. The learners are also classified and explained according to their age and language levels. With these topics, the Unit 1 is generally aiming to outline the characteristics of ideal teachers and students as well as the roles of the teacher and the relationship between teachers and students.In this unit, I learned how much technology seems to have changed. For example, the concept of a \"counter\" on cassette players is alien to me, and I haven't seen an OHP in over a decade. There were some interesting concepts and ideas to be played around with (such as the silent DVD pairings) but many of them seem targeted at smaller classes than the 40+ student classes I have.
