The Story of an Alumna’s Personal Teaching Experience
Since I was a teenager, I always loved the language of English and always loved to help my colleagues from school. I remember listening to some kids "I hate English" or "English is so difficult to learn". I never understood those sentences because English had always been easy for me to deal with. So, in High School I started to help the other students from my class, I used to invite them to my place so I could share my knowledge with them, in that time I didn't realize, but that was the beginning of my career as a teacher because I was teaching them, I was making them my students.

However, the benefits that you can reap from such an experience are invaluable. You can make a huge difference in the lives of underprivileged people through volunteer teaching, but the difference that it will make to all the aspects of your life surpasses it. The year was 1992, I was going to my first English class. I was so excited to begin. I'd always wanted to learn that language. The movies, music and everything I loved the most was in English. I was ten years old, my whole class was the same age, but the only thing I didn't know was they were much ahead of me. The course placed me in a classroom with kids that were already speaking English since they were six years old. They spoke all the time and I couldn't understand anything. I felt so disappointed and ashamed, I couldn't even comprehend the difference between him and her. Even my teacher made fun of me.
