ESA is a helpful way for teachers to think about the structuring of their lessons. The engage portion encourages students through the use of games and wordplay. The study section helps the students to nail down grammar, spelling, and pronunciation through the use of worksheets or drills. The activate portion has students use the skills that they've learned to participate in something like a roleplay or survey.Great lesson that really provides hands-on guidelines for teaching a class of CBTE students. It is good to know that there are so many sources out there with both authentic and non-authentic material - even though the lesson is clearly written a while ago. Woopidoo? Never heard of it, and the website seems pretty outdated. Anyway, the principles stay the same and the lesson plans were very clear and inspiring.
