EF English First, a leader in language education with over 200 English language schools worldwide has several exciting opportunities in China, Indonesia, Russia and Vietnam.

EF English First's recruitment package includes free flights, free accommodation, free health insurance and an excellent local salary. Career Development includes regular Teacher Development Seminars and classroom observations with excellent progression to Senior Teacher and Director of Studies. Opportunities for transfer within the organisation are positively encouraged.

China, EF's largest region, offers a host of opportunities from the hustle and bustle of Shanghai to the Ice Palaces of Harbin in the north to the sub-tropical South Eastern cities like Shenzhen. Hailed as one of the world's most ancient civilisations, China offers a continuous learning experience. Start dates available year-round.

Indonesia is a land of contrasts - from towering skyscrapers in the major Javanese cities to lunar landscapes in the craters of some of the most beautiful volcanoes in the world. The wilds of Borneo and Sumatra contrast greatly to the tidy paddy fields of Java and Bali. Start dates available year-round.

Russia for some, conjures up images of 1960's spy movies, secret societies and mysterious goings on in relation the Tsars and Communist leaders. The rich tapestry of Russian cultural life and the warmth of its people make this the number one destination for many TEFL teachers. EF has two short contracts running from January to May in Moscow and Vladivostok.

EF English First has two positions in Vietnam: an immediate start in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) - infamous from dozens of cult movies. A March start in Hanoi - renowned for its cafÈ culture.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Planning and preparation for classes are an important aspect of teaching. However, balance is crucial. Too much preparation could result in a rigid, inflexible class that will bore the students. Little to no preparation on the other hand would be ill-advised for inexperienced teachers who are just getting started in their teaching career. I learned some good tips and methods for conducting a successful class in this unit. This unit discussed modals, phrasal verbs, and the passive voice. This unit contains a lot of simplified grammar instruction. As someone trained in a science field the passive voice was much easier for me to use as all reports I've written in the past six or more years have been written using the passive voice. Overall the unit was fairly simple and provided some nice ideas for teaching and targeting these grammar points.
