Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit gave me a good understanding of the various teaching themes which can be utilized in classroom situations. We looked at the use of the case studies as a tool, frameworking, Problem based learning, classroom games, Computer Aided Language Learning and Speech Act Theory. Finally, we looked at how to utilize these tools with example lesson plans and learned about various internet based resources. At first, I found it hard to explain the difference between each set of conditionals. However, it is easier to do so with the help of the words in this unit, such as ‘hypothetical’, ‘situation’, and ‘condition’. Besides, I realized I always use the same time expression for both direct and reported speech, which is wrong. It is a mistake that I have been making all the time.
