The Wall Street Institute of English, Turkey, has a current vacancy at its Izmit branch. Izmit is a small Turkish port town about 1.5 hours from Istanbul. It is ideal for adventurous people that want to be immersed in Turkish culture. If you want live as part of a warm, small Turkish community than Izmit is a lovely location.

Our teaching conditions are as follows:

1 year contract
1450-1550 YTL monthly wage
100-120 YTL food allowance
1 month contract completion bonus
1 month holiday bonus pay
Public holidays paid
1 day off each week
Accomodation provided or allowance given
Half of all visa costs paid

The following unit has provided insight on the importance of receptive skills for student and how to get students to understand what material they are reading or listening to and various ways in which they may absorb the information. This unit also shows the teacher how they may promote reading to students by using interesting topics or headlines that may be interesting for different types of student in the classroom.The breakdown of different methodologies, lesson plans, techniques and theories is extremely helpful in teaching how to lesson plan. As an individual with no experience teaching, this unit is key to helping me understand how to structure my classroom. I am very excited to get started teaching, and to start interacting with TEFL students. The more I move forward in this course the more I believe I can be a good teacher.
