Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The unit describes ways to evaluate students. There are 3 ways: tutorials, student evaluations, and tests. For tests there are four kinds: placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, and practice tests. The chapter also describes general external exams. TOEFL is the American exam, while the TOEIC is used more in Japan and Korea. Cambridge Assessment is the world's leader for English assessment and certificates. It was a great overview of the present tense but sometimes I felt it is incomplete. For example in case of present continuous I missed when we use it to to talk about the future (I am leaving tomorrow, etc..). And maybe there should be more examples for the activate phase and the other two as well. The test was too easy. Maybe this is the right level for a student but for a teacher it should be a bit more complicated.
