  • Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

From this unit I learned that during the first class I teach I have to come over prepared and that I will probably be nervous. Breaking the ice or establishing rapport will be an essential skill I have to fine tune. The unit also reminds me of the importance of the ESA methodology as it may be disguised in many ways. Another point I found useful was the information given on the teaching methods for reluctant or shy students. This unit was focused on teaching special groups. In fact, it was developed around teaching different types of classes such as beginners, individual students, children, Business English or English for specific purposes, Monolingual and Multilingual class. I will personally say that, before this lesson, if I was asked to teach English language to a lawyer or a doctor, I will say that I can't; But now my answer is Yes I Can.
