American Village International in Longtan is seeking ENGLISH INSTRUCTORS to begin in January 20th, 2024.
WHO WE ARE: Founded in 1990, American Village International is an English language institute in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Other then the four basic skills, we encourage our students to engage more and to enjoy activities designed and given.
WHERE WE ARE: Right next to the Longtan Tech Park in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. About 30 minutes away from the Taoyuan International Airport, 30 minutes away from the Taoyuan HSR Station, 30 minutes away from Hsinchu Tech Park, about 50 minutes away from Taipei 101.
Our School have the advantage of being surrounded by points of interests such as Shihmen Reservoir, The Culture Park of the Chiangs, Leofu Theme Park, Window on World Theme Park, Fame Hall Garden Hotel, Longtan Lake and located right next to Longtan Tech Park.
WHO WE SEEK: In addition to our current staffs, we are looking for fluent English speakers with four-year degrees in ANY field or TESOL / TEFL certificate with passion in teaching, coaching, or mentoring.
WHAT OUR INSTRUCTORS DO: Students level starts from elementary to junior high, group sizes will be between 15 to 20 students. Each class has one fluent speaker teaching and one local assistant in English. These two will coordinate classes together.
WHAT AVI OFFERS: The starting base session pay for winter 5-day camp is $NT 16,000 & accommodation (double room).

* If continue contract till the end of school semester, round trip economy air fare will be reimbursed when the instructor is invited back for the next semester.
*Bachelor's degree holder from an accredited college/university in ANY field. Degrees related to TESOL/TEFL, English, Linguistics, and/or Education will be better, but ANY degree holder will also be considered.
*We value energetic and enthusiastic teachers for interesting classes.
*Has a genuine interest in learning Mandarin Chinese and/or Taiwanese: It gives a teacher a sense of how difficult it is to learn a language, as well as an appreciation of the culture, (not to mention facilitate living in Taiwan).
