Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I certainly can say the difference between the present tenses and the past tenses but I'm still confusing the usage of past continuous and past perfect continuous. The past continuous is used for the action or situation had already started before this time, but had not finished. On the other hand, the past perfect continuous is used for something had been happening for a period of time before something else happened. This unit showed that the attitude between teacher and student needs to be positive. An example of this is making the class feel comfortable by our body language, such as smiling. Also this lesson showed that encouragement is very important to the students and never to make them feel stupid but rather that they are making good progress. This lesson also showed how to make teaching clear through gestures and pictures.
