Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This is an interesting unit covering design of a syllabus. It is important to me now as I home-school my kindergartner with no specific curriculum. Although I already have an idea what she needs to know now, this unit helps me organize my lesson plans with good time given to revision and progress tests. There is also a reminder that with every test, there needs to be prompt marking, returning and remedial (when necessary). In unit 16 I learned about conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are sentences that present possibilities. There are five main conditionals, zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. Reported speech is a way to describe to someone else what someone just said. Generally this process changes the tense that is being used. Often pronouns will be changed as well.
