Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit was interesting to see the TEFL aspect of assessment. I feel that a more formal and structure approach is taken with TEFL in comparison to the classroom where a formative type of assessment is often used. However I think that this would come into play in a TEFL classroom when observing the class. It was interesting to find out about the different types of testing and institutions available. In my opinion future tenses are more complex than other tenses, looking at the fact that they are seven in total. When teaching this topic I feel the teacher should ensure that students practice more on how to use the tense, associating it with their daily activities. Students engaging in an activity like planning for a trip can help students practice; and it can be easier to identify their mistakes.
