EFL Teachers Wanted in Taiwan

Starlight International Academy, an ESL language center for young students in West Dist. near The Fine Arts Museum, Taichung City, Taiwan has full time and part time opportunities for TEFL qualified teachers who are available to start work in February 2016. 


- Salary from TWD$65,000 monthly pay upwards, depending on qualifications/teaching experience

- Minimum one year contract

- Working hours, Mon-Fri, half Saturday on shift with extra hour pay TWD$650 upwards if classes scheduled

- 9 hours per weekday, including 1 hour meal break

- Student age: mainly kindergarten-elementary school

- May be deployed to public or private school for collaborative teaching programs

-ARC/healthcare insurance/work permit provided


- TWD$650 hourly pay upwards, depending on qualifications/teaching experience

- A minimum one-year contract

- Teaching 6-12 hours on Mon- Fri, 3 hours on Saturday morning if classes scheduled

- Student age: mainly kindergarten-elementary school


- Must be able to commence work in February 2016

- Native level speaker of English from the following countries: US, Canada, South Africa, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong

- Bachelor degree or above or with proven extensive teaching experience over 3 years

-TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or other teaching related certificate (Preferred)

- Registered teachers with a valid teacher's license (Preferred)

- MUST be vivacious in personality

- With competence to create classroom/team learning activities and camp programs independently

- Able to conduct a Skype interview demonstrating a short teaching with a capsule given

It is important for students to be able to tell others their plans for the future. It is also important students know how to make plans with other individuals for the future. Part of the communication for both situations is knowing which future tense is appreciate for different situations. Knowing the structure and usage for all the different tenses makes them easier to identify and use.This lesson has provided information about expectations and roles of good teachers and students. In additions the unit has provided categories in fluency along with possible learning backgrounds each student might bring. Overall, this lesson has provided a good foundation for different roles a teacher plays, what each role brings to a lesson and an awareness of different levels of learners.
