MoonEnglish is a growing academy with more than 15 years of experience in a residential area of Cáceres. Our focus is on Cambridge exam preparation and integrating language skills through project-based methods.
We are currently hiring teachers for the 2023-24 academic year and are looking for enthusiastic professionals who create fun, engaging classes that get students speaking in English.
There is one position with a focus on young learners (aged 4 to 10) and one position with a focus on older primary students and teens (aged 10 to 16). Both are full-time positions (22 contact hours) and also involve some adult classes, which may be General English or Exam Preparation.
Training is provided at the start of the course, with professional development sessions throughout the year. There are numerous opportunities for teachers to develop their skills with Cambridge exam preparation, including YL exams.
Teachers have access to a wide variety of resources (text and reference books, multimedia material, flashcards, arts and crafts supplies, toys and games etc) as well as laptops, televisions and whiteboards in every classroom. Although we have a specific program and objectives in place, teachers are encouraged to contribute their own ideas and material. In this way, teachers have the freedom to develop lessons according to their unique teaching style and the individual needs of their students. Our staff room environment is collaborative and our teachers often look to each other for ideas and support.
Salary and benefits
Full-Time Gross salary: 1400 Euros/month
Full social security coverage with health insurance
Paid holidays (Christmas, Easter, local and national bank holidays)
Assistance with settling in Cáceres if needed
Contract from September 2023 to June 2024
Monday to Thursday afternoon timetable with training sessions or staff meetings on some mornings
Requirements
Native speaker competence (C2)
Some teaching experience
Permission to work in the EU
International Child Protection Certificate
Valued:
A recognised TEFL qualification
A university degree
Experience with Cambridge exams
