Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The unit covered the different parts of speech that should be taught to English language learners. As a native English speaker who has not learned English as a second language, I found it useful to get this formal overview of the basic grammar patterns and rules. I especially found it helpful to learn when/when not to use a/an/the. In the past, I remember struggling to explain the usage of a/an/the to English language learners.I really enjoyed this lesson because I learned exactly how I should plan my lesson. The Lesson plan handout in the unit helped a lot and I can use this model for my future lesson plans as well. It is also a great way to be organized. Even though his kind of lesson planning can be very time consuming, it is 100% worth the time and effort because these kinds of lessons can be used for future classes when covering the same lesson.
