Connect English School in Zory, Poland is a school heading into our third year and we are looking for a motivated, ambitious, open-minded and sociable TEFL qualified native English-speaking teacher to help us grow. We are looking for someone to start mid-September.

About us;
Our school has been opened by two native English speakers with over 12 years teaching experience in Poland. After finding a great location right on the main square for the school in April 2010, we opened in September of the same year. We have enjoyed a very exciting and busy first two year and are happy to announce that we are looking for someone to join our teaching team. We teach the Avalon Direct English method to adults.

About Zory;
Zory is a city of over 60,000 people in the Upper Silesian region of Poland. Zory is a grerat place to see many different parts of Europe from; Bratislawa, Berlin, Prague and Vienna can all be reached in 5 hours or less. Zory also has a very well serviced bus station from which you can reach the nearby mountains if your interested in skiing or hiking as well as numerous other Polish cities including Krakow(less than 2hrs) and Katowice(45mins). Both of these cities have major train stations and airports. On top of that, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs etc. in the city itself and from our experience, students are usually more than happy to show teachers around.

You hold a recognised TEFL qualification and/or at least 1 year's relevant experience.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit was a bit confusing because it deals with pronunciation and how to teach it to students. As a native speaker would not find it very easy to identify the different intonation and stress patterns in a sentence, it is expected to be somewhat confusing for a non native to study the English phonology. Still, it's a way to get him to have better understanding of how to grab the accent correctly.In this unit, I have learned various teaching approaches for EFL students, for example, grammar-translation, audio, presentation, practice, and pronunciation, task-based learning, communicative language teaching, the silent way, suggestopaedia, the lexical approach. The most important one is the ESA theory, which consists of engage, study, and activate. All the methods and theories are very useful.
