Located in the heart of Auckland city, Tasman International Academies provide a number of pathway programmes to International students. With such a range of courses available, the academy is always on the hunt for new teachers. Currently, we are seeking a qualified and experienced EFL teacher to join our growing team who are responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of our English Programmes.

You will need to be a great communicator, be flexible, relate well to a variety of people and have a mature, easy going outlook on life. You will also need to be passionate about working within an emergent, task-based programme and be confident in planning, writing and marking assessments.

Our qualified, experienced teachers work in dedicated spaces for our international students and believe in a nurturing approach to help students improve their language skills. We offer fantastic working conditions in a highly resourced, purpose-built environment. On-going personal development workshops will also be provided to the successful candidate. We have an excellent reputation in the community as a professional and dedicated team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ideally, the successful applicant will have:

Proven tertiary teaching experience

ESOL/TESOL/TEFL qualification and experience

Experience with English qualifications including experience using and assessing against NZQA Unit Standards

Bachelor or Postgraduate qualification in English or an English related field.

Ability to relate and empathize with students/staff from various backgrounds and ethnicities

This position is a full time fixed term role, starting immediately.
