Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

When teaching new language, we need to understand that students need to know four things about new language: be exposed to it, understanding its meaning, understand how it's constructed and be able to practise and produce it. Therefore, vocabulary, grammar, function and how they can be applied in ESA lesson with appropriate techniques are discussed in this unit. More practice will be needed in real class. This was tough unit because I'm not sure if my answers are correct. I'm hoping that this unit is to serve the purpose of creating our own lesson plans. Based on what I've learned thus far about the engage phase which is not to teach anything at all but just get all the students involved. The learning comes in the study phase and then they practice in the activate phase. So we'll see how I went in a click.
