Our affiliate campus, The Canadian Institute of Education (Erbil, Iraq), seeks applications from TEFL qualified instructors for its corporate language training programs in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.  

Teachers will be based on client sites and will be provided with accommodation and meals free of charge. Teachers will be expected to deliver up to five hours of class-contact per day, five days per week in basic to intermediate-level English. Some flexibility will be expected in scheduling to suit the clients needs. We teach English in a task-oriented way and we place emphasis on learning-by-doing. Applications from enthusiastic candidates who are interested in multimedia are especially welcome. 

Candidates should possess a degree  plus a TESOL / TEFL or other teaching qualification. Teachers should have one year previous teaching experience as a minimum.

Salary of $2,500 per month (net) with ALL meals, accommodation, local travel costs and air fare (1 x per year) paid for. Successful candidates must be available for an immediate start. Unit 20 concerns troubleshooting which a teachers may face when starting a course with one or another group. It will be essential to establish rapport between students and students and teacher. A detailed planning for lesson is expected from teacher. The Unit says that at first place it is essential to organize a group in such way that students feel comfortable, even if they have different level.This unit covers a development progress of a course design by considering varstages of contact with a client. Different types of syllabus we can use and how to create it. Once the program is underway, how do we evaluate it and when. Testing or assessment allows to measure the efficacy of your program and monitor students progress. Assessments also guides modifications or improvements to the course.
