TEFL in Mexico - Monterrey

Date posted:2004-05-31 | Writer: Etika Ingles de Negocios SC | Email: [email protected]

Right now we have the need for two male teachers. We require native speakers with a university degree gained within the last 4 years, a Cert. TESOL/TEFL/CELTA and some teaching experience. Most of our work in small groups, but we also have some individual classes with managers and directors, therefore it is important that you really can teach in a professional setting.

We prefer that you already speak some Spanish. We also require two easily checkable references regarding your teaching ability. We pay a decent salary that will allow you to enjoy living in Mexico; some teachers have saved money and others spent on holidays. Subsidized living accommodation and an end of contract bonus for contracts of six months plus. Three to fours hours of Spanish class per week. We provide internet access in our office. Basically we offer a supportive environment to enable you to enjoy your stay in Mexico.
Please note Monterrey is not a tourist resort it is a large city and therefore offers the attractions of a large urban area. Two hours out of town to the south and you are in the mountains and forest, two hours to the north and you are in Texas. Monterrey is where the desert meets the mountains and many people find this geographic collision to be very attractive. Clubbing and rock climbing are both here.

Please send your CV/resume and a cover letter stating why you'd like to work in Monterrey and a list of any questions you would like answering to :

For the most likely candidates I will provide the names and email of current teachers for you to communicate with.

Thank you for reading this ad and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Pronunciation helps a pupil to achieve confidence when speaking, writing and generally producing output, and therefore it is important as possible for comprehension in both directions that the student feel like they are achieving native like fluency through these methods. The phonetic alphabet is something that students should be aware of and know, but not at an early stage in their learning as it is very confusing and difficult.I never realized how important it was to know the difference between noun, countable nouns, uncountable nouns, and more. Same applies for pronouns, verb, and adjective. I think this unit really helps me understand that not all nouns are similar and how you can describe someone in a comparative and superlative way. I really enjoy this unit because I believe that it has educated me a lot more when I am writing an essay or a report.
