In this unit which is about classroom management, skills of organising and managing class are explained, in order to maintain discipline and have a friendly, relaxed manner. The importance of using eye contact, gesture and voice is described, as well as ways to form groups and planning the seating arrangement. Some basic rules and hints for maintaining discipline are also given in this unit.In this unit I have learned the important difference between teaching productive skills and receptive skills. This unit has taught me that a teacher should make a clear distinction between accuracy and fluency. The teacher should always encourage the students to speak English without the fear of being instantly interrupted and corrected for making a mistake in an activity focused on fluency.
