English Teachers Wanted in Mexico

We are looking for TEFL qualified, enthusiastic English teachers for our August 2021 - June 2022 school year. We seek versatile and creative applicants who would thrive in a bustling environment while teaching primary school students, adolescents, and young adults. One teacher will also teach learners who are 4-5 years old. In addition to English classes, Naatik teachers organize and conduct special events and field trips throughout the year.

Details of Position
Located in the small city of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, Mexico, Naatik makes its home in the heart of the Zona Maya, inland, approximately an hour south of Tulum and two hours north of Belize.

Our mission at Naatik is to create a multicultural hub for both locals and international visitors that celebrates and inspires the teaching and learning of languages, specifically English through our English program for local children, and Spanish and Maya through our Study Abroad Yucatan program, all of which are delivered through authentic, cross-cultural experiences.

Through charitable donations and funding from our own study abroad program, Na'atik is able to provide an affordable English language program which includes a free, interactive lending library. This education gives young people in Felipe Carrillo Puerto the opportunity to achieve a higher living wage, improved career prospects, and exposure to other cultures.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Native English speaker or equivalent
Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
A TEFL/CELTA/TESOL teaching certification
1 year of classroom teaching experience
Adventurous and independent spirit
Willingness to help organize and participate in special events and field trips

Preferred Qualifications:
Communicative Spanish
Experience working in the developing world
Experience with development or non-profit work
