Â We recently acquired Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, LA, USA and we would like to re-enforcing our existing English curriculum for nursing students to prepare them to work in our hospital in the US in the near future.

Job Description:
This is a 9 month contract, from May 1st 2005-Jan. 31, 2006
The position requires teaching conversation and listening skills to our nursing students on Bundang campus to enhance their communicative ability in English.
You will teach an average of 15-16 hours of class per week during semester.
4 weeks of summer school in July
4 weeks of paid vacation in August
1 week break in between terms, and 1 week Christmas break
3 weeks of winter school in January

Pay and other benefits:

Monthly pay--1.7 or 1.8 million for 9 months, depending on qualifications
Housing provided
Medical insurance available. (The school pays half)

Location: Near Yatap station in Yaptap dong, Bundang, accessible by subway number 3 from Seoul (from Gangnam, about 40 minutes).

Qualifications: Friendly, enthusiastic, professional
Native speaker of English, including ethnic Koreans
B.A. in English, MA in ESL, ESL Certificate preferred
Teaching experience in university required
Minimum requirement: B. A. from an accredited university
Nursing or other health related work experience welcomed.
If you have had experience teaching intensive English courses, special consideration will be given.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The first question of the test bothers me because clearly in the unit it mentions FOUR basic skills in teaching receptive skills and yet the first question of the test asks for two skills which confuses me. Yes, as mentioned in the introduction of the unit, it is very short unit but I did learn quite a bit on each example tasks and how each component is important for a lesson plan such as tasks, topics and creating interests.From this unit I learnt different ways of evaluating students level and progress. There are a numbers of ways to access a students language level. Tutorials , Evaluation by the students, tests. There are different type of tests like placement, progress, diagnostic, practice test. In the last I learnt business related English examination and academic qualification that are necessary to gain entry into universities or colleges.
