Seeking Highly Motivated EFL Teachers in Korea

Date posted:2012-08-21 | Writer: KocaLink | Email: [email protected]

KocaLink is a recruitment agency that links TEFL qualified teachers  who want to teach abroad to schools in Korea. We understand the frustrations of looking for teaching employment abroad, especially with language, geographic and cultural barriers. We have heard job-seekers who are unsure of the legitimacy of certain programs, concerned with inadequate or untimely responses, and have nowhere to go when issues arise once located in Korea.

Our agency is staffed by recruiters who have had over 20 years of experience in immigration or VISA consulting, managing hakwons in both Canada and Korea, and have employed and worked side-by-side with native English-speaking teachers. Leveraging our experience and expertise, KocaLink attempts to make this application and transition process to Korea as transparent, accessible, and enjoyable to applicants. Once  you have settled in Korea, we will act as your voice to ensure that any issues that may arise are addressed in a professional and prompt manner.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Modal auxiliary verbs have an important role in communication such as with the use of must to represent obligation, while could is used for suggestions. Practicing these with many examples can help students become familiar with how to correctly use them. A great example about expressing certainty is how the word must expresses great certainty while the word could is used for less than 50% certainty. As the introductory part of this unit indicated, phonology is truly an essential part of language learning. By studying this unit, I have learned how to use the right sounds and have a basic knowledge of the science behind phonemes. This is the first time I am coming across the study of phonology. I find it interesting up to a point that the symbols will not be too difficult to decipher at a glance.
