EPIK (English Program in Korea) is a public school English teaching program in Korea sponsored by the Korean government that places teachers in various cities as well as provinces around South Korea. English Program in Korea is the most inclusive English program in Korea and has the most location choices out of all the public school teaching programs in Korea, spanning across all of South Korea. Applicants can choose a preference for their location and grade level.
Here are some of the expectations of being an EPIK teacher:
Starting dates start for the Spring or Fall
Classes are Mon-Fri, 8:30AM to 4:30PM
Positions for Elementary, Middle, and High School
First time teaching? No worries! Co-teacher will assist you whenever
Prepare teaching materials
Assist with extracurricular activities
Create testing materials and new curriculum
Salary and benefits
Depending on your credentials, you can expect your monthly salary to range from 2.1 Million KRW to up to 2.7 Million. Your location and placement might even give you a bonus!

Rent-Free single housing fully furnished with furniture and appliances
Entrance and Exit Allowance up to 1.8 Million KRW each to help reimburse your plane ticket
300,000 KRW Settlement Allowance
2 Million KRW salary bonus for contract renewals (depending on the Office of Education)

Up to 26 days of paid vacation + national holidays
Up to 11 sick days

Requirements
To be eligible for the EPIK Program, you will need to meet the following requirements:
Be a Citizen of One of the 7 Native English Speaking Countries (USA, CA, UK, IRE, AUS, NZ, ZA)
Studied at Eng-Medium Schools for grades 7-12 and UnderGrad (USA, CA, UK, IRE, AUS, NZ, ZA)
Hold a BA/BS Degree in Any Field (USA, CA, UK, IRE, AUS, NZ, ZA)
Be TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certified
Have No Criminal Record
Be in Good Mental & Physical Health
Under the age of 62
