Job For TEFL Qualified Teachers in South Korea

Teach EFL to students at private English language institutes in Daegu (Taegu), the 3rd largest city in South Korea with a population of around 2.5million and over 700 current native English speaking teachers. The working hours are usually 9:30am-6:30pm or 2:30pm-9:50pm depending on the age group of students you teach. TEFL positions are available all year round.

If you are a TEFL qualified native English speaker with Bachelor's degree and no criminal record, you are eligible to apply for English teaching positions in S.Korea. An apostilled national criminal background check issued within 6 months and apostilled photocopy of Bachelor's degree certificate are required by the immigration office in S.Korea for visa approval.

This unit covers the advantages and disadvantages a teacher or professor considers when deciding which textbook to use for their students. Since I am an Assistant Language Teacher, I will not get to decide what books to use so this part of the unit does not feel relevant to me. However, deciding how to proceed with actiities based on the textbook the professor has chosen is useful information for me.This unit focuses on the past tense. Generally, past tense expresses actions that take place in the past. In this unit, the four forms of past tense are explained with relevant examples and how they are used. Typical mistakes made by students in the use of this tense are also identified. From this study, it can be seen that the structure of past tense and that of present tense have some similarities.
