Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, Teaching new language we are taught the importance of presenting a class and incorporating the use of the different ESA methods and their functions and structures. The teacher needs to make sure there is a good balance between written work, vocal exchanges and demonstrating a clear understanding of the content of the class. Each aspect needs to be incorporated and delivered clearly to the students. There is no doubt that testing helps in people’s learning. It helps people be placed in the correct position. It helps people be diagnosed well. It helps people see their progress. It also helps people to work harder than they would on their own initiative. Tests are very useful. In my study of Chinese, my teachers did not use many tests. Because of this, I think my Chinese did not grow as fast as it could have.
