Our school is small, friendly and family-owned. Students range from 4 to 73 years of age. Working with us is a great opportunity to get to know students on a personal level and participate in cultural exchange.

Nagano prefecture is centrally located with great access to hiking, skiing or snowboarding, and hot springs. Shiojiri is a small, quiet city about 20minutes from Matsumoto and 2 1/2 hours from Tokyo and Kyoto by train.

Salary is 260.000 yen per month. Bachelor's degree and driver's license required, TESL certificate and /or ESL teaching experience preferred.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 19 focused on teaching special groups- business professionals, beginners, children, multi-lingual and monolingual groups- giving practical tips an sample lesson plans/ideas for each type. Knowing the level of english and needs (or perceived needs) of your clients and conducting oneself in a professional manner are keys to successful classes. This lesson taught how to discern several of these factors and plan accordingly.This section compares and contrasts various forms of materials and resources. There are pros and cons laid out for authentic materials, created materials, textbooks, and textbook-avoidance. I appreciate that the book does not say that a specific route is better than any other; instead, it argues that each teacher should find what works best for them. The examples of activities and websites to consult in the future were great.
