Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

When planning a lesson for teaching receptive skills, teachers should choose teaching materials according to students' level, such as non-authentic texts and dialogues for intermediate learners. Pre-teaching the difficult words and sentences from the chosen text can also help students develop a better understanding of the text. However, the above are useful to students only if they are willing to learn. The productive skills are effective ways to check the results of learners'study. For speaking part, our teachers need to find a good balance between accuracy and fluency. In the class,we can design different activities to help them to practice oral English. For writing part, teachers need to make sure that learners'can spell the vocabularies correctly. No matter for speaking or writing, practice makes perfect.
