Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is based on the importance of learning how to listen and read in the English language. The unit describes that individuals can be motivated to either listen or read for either a specific purpose or entertainment. Furthermore, the unit expands on the following different manners of how we listen and read: predicative skills, scanning, skimming, detailed reading, and education from the context. This unit includes a discussion about the use of coursebooks and other teaching material in a classroom setting. It is important to use a good mix of authentic and created materials to maintain variety but make sure that thr students are getting an adequate amount of information. In addition, it is critical to adapt some of the course materials to the invidual personality and interests of your claass.
