Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered the different parts of speech by breaking them down and explaining each. The usage, the types, rules, exceptions to rules, and irregulars were all discussed in the unit. I learned that a lot of English grammar doesn't follow rules, and many aspects simply have to be memorized. Knowing the proper terms for the different parts of speech makes the grammar a bit easier for students to understand and teachers to teach.Through the videos, I learned how the difference of teacher's approach affects the students' participation in the class. The first video shows that the teacher showed no engagement, lack of elicitation and also used a lot of complex vocabulary for lower level students. While in the second video, the teacher showed great engagement and elicitation. As proven, in the second video, the students showed more participation in the lesson.
