About Makassar (aka Ujung Pandang)...

...a thriving port city with a population of 2 million and growing, a long maritime trade history, a diverse ethnic mix and the gateway to Eastern Indonesia. Sufficiently off the beaten track to feel an adventure and to encounter friendly locals, yet also developed enough to find all modern facilities, around which the traditional is everywhere.

About Sulawesi...

...an eccentrically shaped island containing wonderful scenic areas for great holidays and both sea and mountain sports. The pleasant mountain resort of Malino, the picturesque beach community of Tanjung Bira and the famous Torajalands are within easy reach. Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit talked about conditionals and reported speech. Learning about conditionals made me understand using the word \"if\" in sentences refers to the past, present and future possibilities. I thought the teaching ideas were helpful because conversation activities are perfect activities to learn about conventional. I might have to adjust the content to a easier language if I was to teach this in the lower grade.at this unit I`ve learnt that reading and listening are receptive skills. And when we read & listen we use predictive skills, specific information scanning, general idea- skimming, so it`s good to pre-teach the words that are essential to understanding. I`ve noted several exercises that can be used for reading& listening practice. Studied example of patchwork typical receptive skills lesson that have been very useful.
