Indonesia is one of the most beautiful, fascinating and culturally absorbing nations in the world. As the capital city, Jakarta is a gateway to the natural and human treasures found throughout the islands. Jakarta is a busy metropolis, yet it is only a 60-90 minute boat ride to the Thousand Islands; a tranquil weekend getaway that’s a great place for diving and snorkeling with its vibrant coral reefs, or just to relax and sunbathe on the beaches.

We are continually looking for EFL teachers with a minimum of CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or equivalent throughout the academic year. In some cases other qualifications will be considered, depending on the nature and extent of experience. A few of our teachers are continuing to the next contract. some are completing the contract and we will need replacement for them.
Our next available vacancies will be for January, February, March and April 2010.

The ideal candidate will be someone who works well within a team, has a positive outlook, enjoys making friends and has the ability to adapt to living and working in a developing country.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Learning how to effectively lesson plan is what was covered in this unit. I also learned the benefits and advantages of lesson planning prior to coming to class. It helps you stay on task, be prepared, and have possible alternative outcomes if something does not go as planned. This tool is extremely useful when teaching a times lesson and you want to cover multiple things and incorporate multiple activities. This unit demonstrates various methods for managing a class including proper use of eye contact, proper use of gestures, benefits of grouping students, how to vary seating in the classroom, teacher body language, establishing good class rapport, proper use of discipline, etc. This unit also teaches teachers how to give instructions so that students are likely to understand what is happening in the classroom.
