International Community School Greece is situated in the city of Heraklion, in Crete. We have an English Teaching position available from the 15th of April 2008. Previous teaching experience is not actually required, but prefered.
Students age falls within 6 to12, 12 to 18. Class size
is about 16-18 students per class. Working hours 8:30 to 1:30 pm- Monday to Friday.
The school provides a private single furnished flat for teachers.
Health insurance is provided, 50/50 basis.
Our monthly salary is only 1300 euro, payable on the last day of every month.
Contract duration is one year.

Up until this chapter, I was unaware of how many verb tenses there were in the English language. It was also helpful to learn that many other languages do not necessarily have as many. The sentence order when affirming, negating or asking a question is something that native speakers will not necessarily have as much trouble with. However, it is important for non-native speakers, so that was also helpful to learn.Years ago the teaching aids were limited to black boards or white boards. You also had dictionaries, course books, and resource books of course, but with technology today you have so many options available it is hard to pick the best teaching aids to use. I do believe the interactive whiteboard is one of the best aids available if the school can afford one. Teachers often do not use the IWB to its full potential.
