Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Parts of speech is very important to English language learners they are able to learn the basic rules and classifications in the language. English learners usually think and learn from their native language and cultural understanding. Sometimes, I find it helpful to compare parts of speech in English and the students' own language. In this way, they will know the difference of basic structures. This is an interesting unit, requiring a good deal of study even for a native tongued English speaker. I can see why teachers might be apprehensive to cover this in a lesson. Most likely not covered until a later stage in the students understanding of English. Phrasal verbs are the aspect of this unit that I found hardest, if the units are reviewed I would suggest more examples in that section.
