Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The unit's discussion of the five classifications of teaching situations was helpful in considering which one I might find most rewarding. The formal needs analysis and negotiation process I found to be an excellent idea and one that the inexperienced teacher would likely not initiate on his own; it is the first step that should not be overlooked and one that you would expect the business learner would appreciate.Learning vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language function are all important when learning a new language. Lessons in grammatical structure and vocabulary lend themselves more towards the straight arrow ESA approach. On the other hand, function based lessons lend themselves more towards a boomerang or patchwork approach. The engage, study, and activate components of each approach have a lot of similarities.
